White Lake in New Hampshire is the inspiration for this watercolor. A beautiful, clear lake with natural white sandy beaches, it was our family's favorite place to camp while my children were young. It has a path all around the perimeter that is an easy and fun hike. Loons especially love this lake and we would hear them calling every night.

Hi, I'm Janet. I have been creating art ever since I could hold a crayon in my fist as a small child. Nothing with a flat surface was safe from my scribbling! When there was no paper available, I drew on the wallpaper, windowsills and even climbed up near the ceiling to try to hide the evidence. At age eight, I finally found an acceptable outlet for my desire to draw when my despairing parents booked lessons for me with a private tutor. Later, I studied art at Nazareth College of Rochester, Southern Connecticut State University and Rhode Island School of Design.
